This popular and effective sun protective hat offers a 3 1/4” long and 8” wide front brim with a patent pending ‘flip panel-convertible’ crown allows maximum ventilation and traditional ball-cap styling. The easy-snap, detachable ventilated veil can be front, or rear snapped to enclose the neck and face in the ultimate sun protective shade.
The hat and the veil have individual rear size adjusters to ensure lightweight, ventilated comfort for most teens and adults. Our Verdict
Sunday Afternoons hats offer incredible performance! We don't say that lightly, Sunday Afternoons are committed to designing headgear that protect the wearer from the Sun and they achieve this in spades. You will find that they are not the coolest hats image-wise (you may get a few second looks) but the protection they offer is invaluable.
I wore the Adventure Hat for the first time while trekking last year, I normally get a sunburned face, nose and ears in the first day or so of a walk - this is because I'm usually a bit slow at putting the lotion on - and the run-of-the-mill hats you can get don't achieve full protection.
Last year, due to the Adventure hat, I didn't get sunburned at all! The hat performed superbly - though after three weeks it looked a bit worse for wear.
