| Reiter Mashed Potatoes with Ham and Leek |
 |
Our Verdict
First things first - these meals taste pretty good - they are freeze dried though - so 'pretty good' is a relative term. But after a long days walking we can vouch for the fact that they're satisfying. They aren't just thrown together either - those nice people at Reiter have thought about nutritional value as well as lightweight, taste and convenience.
Unless you look forward to conjouring up a culinary delight using unlikely ingredients we think you should try these. At around 150g for a main course we also think you are saving about 30-50% of your food weight by choosing freeze dried over more conventional food items.
Top Tip: Buy one of our long handled spoons (see below) to easily get to the bottom of the pouch.
