The Microlight Vest uses 90g/3oz (size large) of US750 fill european goose down wrapped in a Pertex Microlight shell. The Microlight vest provides fantastic levels of warmth and comfort for the key core body area in a very lightweight package that stuffs into it's own pocket. The vest is ideal for all active users, fast and light activities from mountain marathons to Alpine ascents and cycle touring to mountain walking.

Our Verdict
Fanatically light, the Microlite has narrow down compartments to keep the filling in place. This is a down jacket that folds into its own pocket! Lightly elasticated cuffs, handwarmer pockets, the cut is slightly lowered at the back.
We packed a large one into its pocket and its an odd shaped package about 18 x 18 x 10cm - in fact an ideal pillow. Most of us think down gear for Winter use - but with these ultralight versions the same advantages of insulation per gram and packability still hold true for a late evening / high level summer garment.
For everyday hill use. We've included the reviews below of the previous version - still relevant because the changes were minor.
