The Latok Alpine uses midweight eVent waterproof fabric for optimum waterproof protection and breathability. The simple 2 pocket design and adjustable helmet compatible hood offer uncompromising performance in the harshest of environments. The Latok Alpine is designed for the Alpine climber - but this also makes it suitable for a range of activities and uses.

Our Verdict

This is a really functional jacket that will provide the required protection for a wide range of weather conditions - including winter activites. The front water resistant zip is backed by an internal flap - so protection here is assured.

The two external pockets are set quite high so that they are accessible when wearing a hip belt, and even these have an internal flap to ensure no moisture can get in, internally there are two matching mesh pockets for small items.

The hood is excellent with a cinch cord that will fix it to your head so that it moves as you do. The restyled jacket builds on the performance of the old version and is an excellent all rounder.
