Convert the Pentalite™ shelter into a fully weatherproof and bugproof tent by adding the optional Wedge™ inner tent. It’s also possible to support Pentalite™ by lashed trekking poles or a kayak paddle. Unique volumizing side vents guy out the tent and increase interior volume. Pentalite™ includes a DAC mono-pole, drybag style stuff sack, stakes, and repair kit.
Our Verdict
Really nice pyramid type shelter, difference between this and other shelters of this type are the Pentagon shape, the venting opportunities and the ability to mate with the Pentalite Wedge to make a large bug proof shelter with a generous porch area.

- Integrated Vestibule - A integrated vestibule for Pentalite means less jostling for position and gear storage in the tent. Unlike many other pyramid-style tents, Pentalite has a large triangular protected area than can serve as a dry entrance/exit, safe gear storage, and windproof kitchen.
- Volumizing Guyouts - Besides increasing the strength and stability of Pentalite in harsh environmental conditions, deploying the guyouts help maxmize the interior tent space. When the guyouts on Pentalite are anchored, the side walls of the tent are pulled outward, increasing the available protected volume inside the tent.
- Volumizing Vents - Side vents can be guyed out to expose mesh-protected panels. There are a total of three side vents that can be deployed in Pentalite. By anchoring these vents, the tent walls are lifted outwards, maximizing the interior volume.
- Internally Deployable Upper Vent - In addition to the volumizing side vents, an internally deployable upper hoop vent gives more air circulation options. Reinforced webbing keeps the vent deployed on the outside, but a zippered fabric panel on the inside allows you to choose when to use it. When the vent is deployed, the fabric panel tucks neatly away.
- Pole Port - This clever design detail found on the floor of the optional Wedge inner tent allows a single support pole to pass through directly to the ground. This helps reduce abrasion at the point of loading. Due to its unique construction, the Pole Port is both weatherproof and insectproof.
