Our Verdict

Self-inflating mats are the most popular choice for backpackers because they provide a good level of comfort and insulation from the ground, in addition they are relatively light and compact when deflated and rolled.

The two superlite mats in the Multimat Adventure range use a slightly lighter weight face material than the others in the range which is how weight is saved - though they are still a robust unit.

By changing the shape of the mat and losing some wasted material the Adventure Superlite Compact is now one of the lightest self-inflating mats around.
