MSR Holler
The new Holler tent is our roomiest three-person backpacking tent – perfect for taller campers and those who just want the most livable shelter possible. A spacious floor plan is built to accommodate three large-sized Therm-a-Rest mattresses with room to spare. And who wouldn’t appreciate two generous doors at each end, eliminating the need to rock-scissor-paper for the middle spot. Solid, three-plus-season protection and our finest DuraShield coatings are perfect for pushing seasonal boundaries, while a surprisingly low weight lets you venture far into the backcountry.
Our Verdict
This is a fantastic tent if you're looking for something that pretty light but exceptionally spacious and camper friendly - checkout the headheight at 1.1m, the 230cm inner tent length and the two entrances with the generous vestibules - so long as there are three of you thats just 2lbs 2oz each to carry. Even if there's just two - that only 3lbs each for a luxurious shelter - (relatively speaking!).
We also like the inner tent construction - a good compromise between solid fabric for warmth, mesh panels for ventilation and a solid fabric top to prevent condensation drips in windy conditions.
