Fill it up with empty packs and extra gear, or give your loyal K-9 a place of her own. A partial floor keeps your gear off the ground and the extra space gives you a place to shed wet clothes before you climb inside your tent.
Our Verdict
Extended porches have been around for a while now - and jolly useful they are too. MSR have used their design team to come up with the nice little enhancement of the partial floor - this is great for Mutley or for sitting in the porch facing your mate whose sitting in the tent - or if its your tent let your mate sit outside.
The other great thing is that with some removable porches the manufacturers have fitted a zip - this can add a lot of weight - the MSR solution is lighter - and we're all for that.
