The Expedition Carbon and Expedition Carbon Compact poles are the lightest trekking poles that Mountain King produce, made from aluminium shafts that are carbon coated to give them strength.
Our Verdict
With the Expedition Carbon poles the foam grip extends down the shaft - this is useful when travelling up steep terrain, enabling the user to grip the shafts lower down.
The grip is made of soft foam and the lightly padded straps adopt a conventional fixing. The telescopic poles are a twist fit and the tips are Carbide. Each pole comes with both a trekking and snow basket.
