A true summer bag, the Lamina™ 45 is a warmer condition version of the Lamina 32. Welded layer construction and Thermic Micro™ insulation maintain loft even through repeated washings and compression cycles. Comfortable, roomy mummy cut with face gasket and tailored hood to seal in warmth.
Maximizing loft is the true measure of synthetic sleeping bag design. Over time, all synthetic bags gradually lose loft due to stuff sack compression and general wear and tear. Designing a synthetic sleeping bag that would retain loft – and warmth – over the long haul became our engineering challenge, and our welded Lamina construction was born.

Thermally bonded short staples compress tighter (and spring back faster) and don’t require stiffening chemical additives to stabilize the fill. This makes for a highly compressible bag that retains excellent loft. Produced in a single sheet of consistently dense insulation, Thermic Micro eliminates variation in fill thickness and possibilities of cold spots.

Our Verdict
We don't stock many synthetic sleeping bags because a high quality down bag is so much more efficient for a given weight - however there are reasons why you might choose synthetic over down, for example if there is a danger of the bag getting very wet, or you are allergic to down (as some people are). My mate says his dog barks if he uses a down bag!
In choosing a range of synthetic bags we identified Mountain Hardwear as a brand doing cutting edge things with these bags making them more thermally efficient for a given weight than many others. The bag lofts like a down bag, unlike inferior synthetic bags that have matted insulation.
The Lamina 45 has a nice boxed foot.
