Year-Round, Lightweight, Mountain Base Layer
With its simple good looks and high performance, the Bionic operates perfectly as both base-layer within a performance clothing system, or on its own as a high comfort technical T-shirt.
The Sportwool® Bionic base-layer combines all the well-known performance properties of both Merino wool and knitted polyester, in a flattering, active-cut, flat-seam, lightweight LS T-shirt format. In use, the Bionic rapidly moves moisture away from the skin making for dry-to-the-touch comfort; it effectively enhances the natural cooling effects of evaporation, is odour free and provides natural UV protection and elasticity.

Very light and comfortable to the skin. We like long sleeved baselayers because they can be worn alone in summer or for high energy activity at cooler times of the year... or combined with a featherlite layer (such as the Montane H2O jacket) to provide a basic kit for running or dayhikes.
