The Terra XT Pants are the perfect combination of the highly acclaimed Terra Pants with a zoned, warm and wicking lining and an EPIC highly water resistant face fabric.

They feature all the same qualities that led to one leading journalist describing the Terra Pants as "Pant Perfection", as well as winter features such as 3M Scotchlite reflective flashes and 3/4 length side zips, which act as vents and enable them to be easily put on and removed over winter footwear.

Combine this with DRYACTIV Suede micro fleece and mesh lining and the Terra XT Pants become ideal for active outings on cold, winter days in rugged, mountainous terrain.

Our Verdict

These pants have articulated knees with reflective darts, reinforcement patches on the knees, seat and inner ankle where boots clash.

Lightweight fleece lining except around the lower leg where it would soak up water. Press stud ankle closure keeps them nice and tight.

Terra Thermostretch vs Terra XT? - both do the same job - a winter walking pant that'll keep you warm, so what are the differences? The Terra XT are a bit more extreme, fairly stiff but effective reinforcement panels on the XTs provide a better wear characteristic. By contrast the Thermostretch will fit more snugly and have a better drape.

The Epic Alcatraz fabric will ward of light rain more effectively than the Granite stretch of the Thermostretch pants and the Terra XTs are lighter! Could come down to style and comfort over durability and performance.
