The North Star was designed with no compromise on quality and functionality in mind.
With 200g (size medium) of highest quality Ukrainian goose down at 93/7, encased in a highly water resistant and windproof shell its built for versatility in that its light enough and warm enough to be used in a multitude of situations, and functionality due to its considered features.
Neat tailored baffle design allowing the efficient trapping of body heat, climbing helmet hood and generous body length for comfort. Wear it year round in the mountains and on winter endeavours.
Our Verdict
With this weight of down fill Montane could have gone for the conventional large baffles, but instead have created the mini baffles, quilt construction. This will ensure the down remains where it should.
The hood has a velcro volume adjuster, wired peak and shockcord tightener, it can be rolled to form a collar and secured with a strap. The waist drawcord and hem drawcord work together to ensure a comfy fit when its cold outside.
