Our Verdict
Montane know how to put a jacket together and the new Atomic boasts the usual range of high quality feaures, its performance comes down to the fabric. Having use the previous Atomic jacket and over trousers exensively I can confirm its performance - for me this level of jacket is ideal for 3 season UK use, for 4 seasons I'd be looking at an eVent shell, or equivalent.
The water resistant front zip also has a flap - which will excite a lot of folk!

Own Montane stuff sac
As with all Montane clothing Entrant DT contains a Durable Water Repellancy (DWR) as the first barrier to keeping you dry. Clean your garment in order to maintain this.
Machine wash in warm water at 40C/104F with a mild soap. Montane recommend that you use Nikwax Tech Wash.
DO NOT use fabric softeners or bleach.
It may be required every 6 months or so to reproof the garment to restore its water repellency. Montane recommend Nikwax TX Direct.
