| Lowe Alpine Zepton 50 Litre Pack |
 |
The Zepton packs represent the lightest backpacking packs in our range. They have been designed to be lightweight whilst retaining a high level of carrying comfort. The minimalist design targets those wanting the lightest packs. Stripped weight is under 1 kg.
Our Verdict
Excellent pack - the lighter version of the Nanon, so its got a few less features. The Zepton comes in two backlengths, the regular and XL, the lumbar pad is well padded so its sits well in the..well...er ...the lumbar region. The back panel is mesh which is stretched to create a reasonable void for air to circulate. The adaptive fit hipbelt is basically a strap with a floating buckle that floats into the correct position for your hips - simple but highly marketed!
There are two elasticated mesh pockets, one on either side of the main compartment. The lid has pockets as well but can also be removed in its entirety to save weight if you don't need it, though removing it is fiddly because you've got to remove buckles etc.
Read a lot of good reviews about the series as well.

Torso Length:
|
To find your torso length, measure the distance between your seventh cervical vertebra and the shelf of your hipbones.
Do this by standing up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart. Tilt your head forward and place your hands on your hips, thumbs to the back. With a flexible tape, have someone measure from the most prominent vertebra at the base of your neck to an imaginary line drawn between your thumbs.
This will be your torso length.
