| Lightwave t0 ultra XT, 2 Skin Solo Tent |
 |
The t0 ultra xt is an exceptionally roomy and lightweight one-person tunnel tent. It is ideal for solo camping and travel where low weight and compact size are of the highest priority.
Although a one-person tent, the t0 ultra xt is in fact surprisingly spacious and can accommodate two adults at a squeeze (a common if cosy solution in mountain marathon events) or an adult and child.
Its wedge-shaped inner gives space where it’s needed – round the head and shoulders – and its aerodynamic two-pole shape vastly outperforms the rest of the field in bad weather, although in extreme conditions secure pitching and anchoring are obviously imperative.
The extended porch area is spacious enough to allow cooking inside safely during spells of bad weather.
Our Verdict
We are very pleased to be stocking Lightwave tents, whilst being pretty light for 2 skin tents with fabric inners they combine some very important design features that set them apart from many of their competitors - access the information pages via the buttons below.

Comparing the dimensions of Lightwave tents with others demonstrates their generally larger size - 100cm internal headheight in the t0 ultra solo tent is a good example. The t0 trek has the same dimensions and features as the t0 ultra.
t0 ultra or t0 trek? - the ultra is a higher specification, its not just about lighter fabrics - the ultra has a higher specification hydrostatic head on the groundsheet as an example - purists will want the benefits of the ultra model but others may feel that the extra performance doesn't justify the extra cost. Make no mistake the trek is not a compromise its just the ultra pushes the boundaries a bit further.
