When your feet get cold, it takes forever to re-warm them in a sleeping bag. Hot Socks are designed to prevent feet from getting cold in the first place. Just put them on as soon as sweaty boots and socks are taken off.
The 4oz Primaloft Sport insulation provides a 1/2" of lofty warmth and the Pertex microfibre shell fabric ensures comfort and water repellency. The heel panel of Powerstretch fleece makes the Hot Socks easy to slide on and keeps them snug. The footpad is reinforced with abrasion resistant 500 denier Cordura, which is durable enough for use inside huts and tents, but is still soft enough for inside a sleeping bag.
Our Verdict
Brilliant items these, a really robust, warm and comfortable place to put your feet at the end of a long day. Pretty lightweight and packable when you consider what they deliver. Particularly good if you will be staying in mountain huts and refuges.
