Runners, bikers and adventure racers alike have opted for this all-round pack for its great versatility and low weight. Large stretch mesh lid and side pockets give added versatility. Like all race pro™ packs, the H20rizontal 2L Reservoir™ is easily accessed from the external zip opening and can be filled without removing from the pack.
Our Verdict
The first thing to say is don't buy this pack without buying the H2Orizontal Hydration System as its this that makes the whole thing work that much better. The weight and positioning of the bladder (see later) ensures unrivalled stability.
That said the rest of the pack stands up to scrutiny also, the back panel is a simple foam sheet inside (this can be removed to shave 50g off the weight of the pack), the outside back panel has a central channel and two vertical mesh panels, one at each side.
There's bungee cord to attach to the outside of the pack which will increase capacity - the side mesh pockets on the main compartment are designed to take bottles as well as other stuff and adds significant capacity.
This is a smaller capacity version of the Racepro 30 - buy it if you can get your kit into 20 Litres, like the sound of the hydration system and want a fully featured pack with lots of innovations. As with any ultralight pack it not made from cotton duck so it will age with use - don't we all!

Inov8 Pack Philosophy
The inov-8 design philosophy is to design product around the natural function of the human body's biomechanics. It is, and always will be our philosophy to look at the body's function for inspiration and guidance whenever we design product for the high performance athlete or the recreational runner and walker.
In the design of the Race Pro Series packs we took a complete new look at the way in which the runner and fast walker interacts with their packs through the fit, features and functionality.
Our unique patent pending H2Orizontal hydration system is one of the main integral features in most of the Race Pro Series. The special bladder can be used across all our hydration packs and is easily accessed from the external back flap opening, meaning no more emptying your pack to fill up the bladder. Positioning the bladder here creates a lower centre of gravity and with the bladder shape fitting around the lumbar region makes the pack a lot more stable. The bladder is also segmented for an ergonomic fit around the lower back which provides lumbar support. This segmentation also reduces water movement when on the move.

Fill the bladder to desired level
Expel any air, fold the top flap over and slide cap to seal the bladder
Insert bladder into pack with hydration tube facing inside
Feed the hydration tube through the left or right outlet on the pack
The bladder capacity is up to 2L with 1L and 1.5L markers if a lower amount of fluid is required. The bladder is designed with a large opening allowing easier access for filling and cleaning. We recommend regular cleaning and sterilising. Replacement bladders can be purchased seperately from your local retailer or via www.inov-8.com. The H2Orizontal hydration system concept, design and shape are registered and patent pending.
The hydration system uses Source components with anti-microbial technology which blocks bacteria growth on the tube and reservoir. The diagram shows how to easily fill and insert the bladder into the pack which can also be filled in situ.
