Granite Gear Vapor Day Pack
Granite Gears Award winning Vapor Suspension is light, relatively simple and very effective for carrying moderate loads of up to 30lbs. Because of the way the sculpted shoulder strap and belt tie in to the polyethylene frame this system does an excellent job of automatically contouring the dual density foam back panel to your back.
Best of all this is accomplished without the use or the extra weight of an aluminium stay.
The Vapor suspension system is the backbone of a range of packs for various uses, packs with the Vapor suspension have fixed shoulder straps and interchangeable belts. (A standard belt is supplied that suits most users, if an alternative is required this can be ordered through us).
Our Verdict
Bit annoyed they called it the Vapor Day because it is clearly very well suited to overnight and weekend ultralight backpacks, its only 30 Litres but many of you reading this will think thats luxury!
If you can get your gear into this you have a very comfortable 'small' pack that bridges the gap between well-harnessed 50-60 litre packs and ultralight racers with poor suspension systems.
It has a perimeter closure round the top half of the pack and a large pocket on the front constructed from stretch mesh, so it lays flat but will stretch to accommodate a wet jacket, flysheet or tent. It also has a smallish top flat pocket and as you can see, two further mesh pockets, one on either side of the main compartment.
Internally its kitted out for a 3 Litre bladder.
