Granite Gear Chillaca 22 Litre Multi-Activity Pack
The Chilaca 22 can carry all of your daily essentials in comfort without sacrificing features and durability. The smallest of the Daily Pack series the Chilaca still features a hydration sleeve/port, external stash pocket, bottle holsters, and a large stretch mesh front pocket. The padded mesh harness makes for a comfortable carry.
Our Verdict
A simple pack with a nest airflow back, its not simply mesh, there's a hollow channel running up the middle of the backpanel to allow air to circulate.
Like all the new Granite Gear packs the pack is full of pockets so there's no excuse not to be organised! The hipbelt is a simple (and removable) webbing affair so this pack is most definitely for day use.
We like that front mesh pocket - ideal for stuffing bits and bobs.
The new harness from Granite Gear is really interesting - it looks an behaves like a close fitting padded back panel - but actually its curved and sits quite well off the back - in addition the stippled nature of the padding makes it feel 'airy'. We love it - Granite Gear seem to have achieved a close fitting pack which vents very well - Nirvana!
