Our Verdict

The Odyssey is a very large pack, but has a comprehensive harness system that transfers load well to the hips and is very comfortable. With this much space its intended for the long haul, its therefore particularly useful to have a range of features to help keep you organised.

Large external pocket, externally accessed lower main compartment (division can be set aside), twin side mesh pockets and hip belt pockets.

The Compacktor system will be especially useful on longer trips as food gets eaten and capacity required reduces.

	Velocity™ is one of the primary body fabrics in GoLite's packs. It achieves an optimum balance of high tear strength, abrasion resistance, waterproofness, ultra-violet resistance, and is lightweight. 100% nylon, 210 denier weave, 6.2 oz/yd², 210 g/m².
	Our newly developed Tier 1 recycled polyester and nylon materials test to the same high standards as their conventional, non-recycled alternatives.  We use them because of the massive reductions in energy use and resource consumption required to produce them vs. the virgin, petroleum-based alternatives.  More information can be found under ‘Performance Technology’ within ‘The Meaning of Lite’ section of the GoLite website.
