Our previous generation Lite-Speed was lauded as "Most Versatile" pack by Outside magazine and Backpacker magazine, and the new Lite-Speed ups the ante with upgraded suspension, access and materials.

Our Verdict

The previous Lite-Speed was impressive, it was a 50Litre pack with a supported harness system making it ideal for backpacking use. The latest Lite-Speed is a lot smaller but this makes it more flexible making it useful for daypack as well as an overnighter - a superb all purpose bag.

The only drawback we can see is that its a little heavy for it 35 Litre capacity, but if you are more interested in comfort and features than gram-saving then this could be ideal.

	Velocity™ is one of the primary body fabrics in GoLite's packs. It achieves an optimum balance of high tear strength, abrasion resistance, waterproofness, ultra-violet resistance, and is lightweight. 100% nylon, 210 denier weave, 6.2 oz/yd², 210 g/m².
	Our newly developed Tier 1 recycled polyester and nylon materials test to the same high standards as their conventional, non-recycled alternatives.  We use them because of the massive reductions in energy use and resource consumption required to produce them vs. the virgin, petroleum-based alternatives.  More information can be found under ‘Performance Technology’ within ‘The Meaning of Lite’ section of the GoLite website.
	The comPACKtor™ system makes your pack far more versatile by enabling you to reduce your pack's volume through the use of two fixed compression anchor clips and adjustable side compression straps.
