Versatile, easy-on/easy-off GORE-TEX Paclite waterproof/breathable overpant provides protection and comfort at minimal weight.
Our Verdict
Goretex Paclite, along with eVent fabric, is in the top tier in terms of performance and to get a pair of overtrousers down to this weight is impressive. They even have features such as a rear pocket, press stud waistband and zip fly, this makes then very easy to live with, especially if you are a Shewee user.
The ankle hem has a single press stud adjustment, so they can't be adjusted very tightly at the ankle, and the zips are quite short - OK for slipping them over walking shoes but not really long enough to accommodate boots. The waistband is elasticated but has neither a drawcord or belt loops so they may work their way down under a rucksack.
That said they are our lightest overtrousers at this level of waterproofness and breathability.
