The Vermillion Zip Top is a 'Semi-Fitted' garment, Semi-fitted tops will contour to the body without being tight and will fit comfortably over 'Fitted' tops such as baselayers.

Our Verdict

This is a very versatile garment. As it has a brushed lining it can be worn comfortably next to the skin during any season, however it is also designed as a mid-layer to be worn over a T-shirt or a thin baselayer, and when worn like this it works well, ideal as part of a winter clothing system.

Dual fabric garments are becoming increasingly common these days, principally because they work well, in my experience the two fabrics need to be quite close in weight otherwise the garment feels odd. The Vermillion fabrics match each other well in this respect.

Overall a well finished garment that also looks very good.
