Puncture-style cartridge adapter. With this adapter Edelrid stoves work with all commercially available puncture-type gas cartridges.
Our Verdict
I've struggled in some parts of Europe to get the screw type gas cartridges, whereas the puncture style cartridges are available in most supermarkets in many mountainous areas, especially in the Alps and the Pyrenees.
On one trip I ended up buying a stove designed to use the puncture cartridges because that was all I could find, the stove weighed more than this adaptor and my screw in stove put together!
If you want the best chance of being able to get gas easily then carry one of these, think of it like your first aid kit; you may never need it, but if you did then you'll be bloody glad you carried it!
Works with most screw in gas stoves, however we have discovered that it doesn't work with the MSR Superfly stove, though it does work with the MSR Pocket Rocket and MSR Simmerlite stoves.
