Compact and lightweight snow shovel with detachable handle. The durable work-hardened 6061 aluminum alloy shaft has a super smooth surface. The plastic blade and shovel ensures that weight is kept to a minimum. Five holes in the blade permit use as a snow anchor.
Our Verdict
The removeable handle makes it much easier to stow in or around your pack. Tough polycarbonate blade will take a beating. Weighing in at just under a pound this undercuts aluminium blade shovels from a weight point of view - so if you intend to do a serious amount of digging an aluminium model may be abetter choice - but for general use this is an excellent weight saving alternative.
