Our Verdict
We stock Black Diamond Trekking Poles because of their quality but also because of the Flick Lock system - we don't know anyone whose used twist lock trekking poles who has never had a problem! So they may be a bit heavier but they offer a real alternative to standing on a hill straining to undo your trekking pole.
The Trail Compact are around 2 inches shorter than the standard poles so this makes them that bit more mangeable on your pack.
