| Black Diamond Sprinter Headlamp |
 |
The urban-inspired Sprinter opens up the dark for those whose running isn’t restricted to daytime hours. This rechargeable streets-to-trails runner’s headlamp features excellent fore-aft balance and a super low profile, which minimizes bouncing and shifting with your stride.
A red rear strobe offers safety around cars while a strong, ovalized beam keeps your vision focused on the path ahead.
Our Verdict
What runners need is a headlamp thats light, reliable and can illuminate the trail ahead - the Sprinter does all of these. The environmentally friendly power source (rechargeable battery unit) is smaller and lighter than the batteries that it replaces making the headlamp lighter overall.
Features we like are the removable overhead strap to prevent the headlamp shifting, and the blinking rear light that announces your presence to vehicles approaching from behind.
Note the battery life is only 5-6 hours which makes it unsuitable for all night runs/staggers.
